Discount Will Turner and best value Elizabeth Swan just don't have the same depth or dynamic the originals had, and Capt Jack is too boring of a character to carry the whole movie. It's like the entire cast was flanderized honestly. It's like Johnny Depp is now doing bad impersonation of jack sparrow you can find on youtube. I miss the jack sparrow that used his eccentric personality to mask his cunning intellect so he would be underestimated instead of lucky clown he is now. Not even a amusing reference to the Turner men always needing Jack.Īlso clearly the film makers and Johnny Depp have missed the point on what made Jack Sparrow such a great character. It could have added to his character AND It would have made the "possessed Henry" fight much more emotionally invested. I was expecting some protection over the son of Will and Elizabeth. They could have made Jack really care for the boy. Their adventure is basically the same adventure Jack had with Will.
It could have been a deep relationship seeing as Henry is basically his father and Jack would immediately see it. I'm really disappointed Jack and Henry relationship.
